DID YOU KNOW…

CDG has participated in the annual Operation Stream Clean for 15 years?! The stream clean is one of the country’s largest and longest river cleanup efforts and takes place on the Meramec River near Steelville, Missouri.

This year CDG’s team cleaned up 18 tires, filled 26 trash bags and collected 120lbs of metal!

FOUNDERS PARTY

This year we celebrated the retirement of the last of CDG’s original founding members after providing nearly 30 years of service at CDG.

Rick Lodewyck, John Fillion, Mark Birchler, Michael Stark, and Greg Brunkhorst banded together to form CDG after their predecessor dissolved. In 1992 they established CDG Engineers Architects Planners, Inc. Soon after Mike Augustine and Jim Newcomer joined the original five and helped build CDG into what it is today. Without the bravery and perseverance of this group, our firm would not be the full service, multi-discipline machine that proudly services the utility, mining, industrial and local infrastructure markets.

A big thank you to everyone who was able to attend our event and show their support for our founders.

CDG’S SOFTBALL SEASON WRAP-UP

The CDG softball team finished in 2nd place in the regular 2021 season! With a record of 8-4, CDG has inked another winning season in the books. After a 1st round playoff BYE, CDG fell in the 2nd round of the playoffs with a loss to the LJC, an architectural firm in the St. Louis area. The LJC went on to defeat McClure Engineering in the championship game to claim the league title.

This year the team was scheduled to play at Lindenwood or Francis Slay Parks, but due to field conditions and availability, they were upgraded to much nicer fields on Forest Park Aviation Field at no extra cost.

This year marked the 13th season on the diamond. The team is looking forward to next year, hopefully with some new recruits onboard!

NEW EMPLOYEES

We have recently welcomed a new employee to our team. Please join us in congratulating Parker Cohn on his new position in the Utility Services Department. Parker will be working with Kevin Cox on resource planning and energy analysis.

CDG’S KARTPLEX RACE

CDG held a private event at the WWT Gateway Kartplex. An adrenaline filled evening full of 50 mph straight-aways, 11-drifted turns, and even a few spin-outs. The leaderboard was shuffling all evening. Congrats to Tyler Roxby (1st), Lee Bruner (2nd), and Clayton Port (3rd) for achieving the fastest times.
