About CDG Engineers
CDG Engineers, Inc. is a full service, multidiscipline professional services organization with capabilities in civil, structural, mechanical and electrical engineering, as well as architecture. Services include planning, engineering and architectural design, and construction administration. CDG works in the fields of infrastructure, power, mining, and industrial.
FACILITIES
CDG Engineers was established in 1992 as part of a re-organization of a firm that was originally founded in 1941 as Neal J. Campbell Consulting Engineers. Today CDG Engineers has approximately eighty personnel located in three offices. CDG’s headquarters is located in the southwestern part of the City of St. Louis (in the Hill) in a building known as Campbell Plaza. The building is owned by several stockholders of CDG, and this ownership enables the company to expand as the need for additional staff develops. CDG also has a small satellite office located in Sheridan, Wyoming to serve the needs of our mining clients located in the Powder River Basin, as well as, an office in Troy, Illinois to offer services to additional clients in the Metro St. Louis are. CDG also opened an office in Charlotte, North Carolina last year to support clients in the Eastern region of the U.S.

CDG Design Technology resources include up-to-date CAD and BIM Capabilities, Laser Scanning, Aerial Drone Imagery and Surveys, GIS, and Virtual and Augmented Reality. Our Design Technology specialists are experts in AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Microstation, Revit, Inventor, 3DS Max, and ArcGIS. Jerry (Jay) L. Ellington, P.E.
President of CDG Engineers
Jerry (Jay) L. Ellington, P.E. is the President of CDG. He has more than 30 years of experience providing electrical engineering to utility and mining companies for capital improvement, O&M projects, and equipment upgrades. He is a graduate of Southern Illinois University – Edwardsville with a degree in Electrical Engineering.

Principal, Manager of Industrial Facilities and the Industrial Market Segment Leader
Gregory E. Brunkhorst, A.I.A., LEED AP is a Principal, Manager of Industrial Facilities and the Industrial Market Segment Leader. Greg is a professional architect with 35+ years of building and structures experience, as well as an extensive background on public work and infrastructure improvement projects for municipal clients. His expertise includes architectural programming, A/E design functions and construction phase services work on a wide range of municipal, industrial, institutional and commercial projects. He is a graduate of Kansas State University with a degree in Architecture.
Ronald E. Destefano, P.E.
Principal, Officer Manager of the Sheridan, Wyoming Office and Mining Marketing Segment Leader
Ronald E. Destefano, P.E. is a Principal, Officer Manager of the Sheridan, Wyoming office and Mining Marketing Segment Leader. He is mine planning, permitting, bulk materials handling and transportation specialist with more than 25 years of raw minerals handling experience, as well as expertise in the development of mine sites and facilities and industrial equipment installation work. He is a graduate of the University of Wyoming with a degree in Civil Engineering.
