CDG is one of the first engineering companies that has been granted permission by the Federal Aviation Administration (FAA) to fly an Unmanned Aircraft System (UAS) for commercial purposes. Our drone is manned by our own certified pilot and is great for surveying tall or hard-to-reach areas such as transmission towers, power lines, rooftops, bridges, and smokestacks.

Additionally, CDG has started to use drone surveys to inventory stockpiles from above, thanks to the very clear aerial imaging. At CDG, we believe the future of professional surveying includes dynamic and flexible UAS surveys. These so-called “drone surveys” can generate 3D models in high-density areas with great accuracy and are able to provide superior photogrammetry.
