PROJECT PROFILE: HARLEM BADEN RELIEF PHASE IV

In Late 2018, CDG was awarded Phase IV (Hebert) of the The Harlem Baden Relief Project by MSD . This project is a multi-package (phase), multi-year project. It is a “soft-separation” project which separates the roadway stormwater flow from the combined sewer flow by constructing a separate storm sewer. The storm sewer then drains to a regional detention basin before being allowed to flow back into the combined sewer. CDG is designing Package 5 which is entirely within the Village of Hillsdale , in St. Louis County. Project Manager, Steve Hilderbrand is familiar with the first four packages of the Harlem Baden project, having worked on them while with a previous employer. Package 5 entails the design of over 9,000 linear feet of storm sewers from 12-inch to 60-inch diameter. CDG’s team includes, Civil Design Inc. , Engineering Design Source, Inc.Geotechnology, Inc.Gresham SmithTSi Geotechnical, Inc. and Vector Communications.

EMPLOYEE PHOTO CONTEST

CDG’s staff is comprised of people that hold a multitude of talents and lead fun, active lives. In order to capture the spirit of our greatest asset (our employees), we held a photo contest open to anyone who wanted to participate. The rules were simple – submit your favorite photo.
There was a great response with several people submitting their work. A volunteer team from the Employee Relations Committee voted on the winners. In total, there were 16 photos that won! Each of the winning photos was printed on canvas and mounted on a wall at CDG’s St. Louis office. Eventually all winners will be given their print to take home as a token of appreciation for their participation.
